Waverley Baseball Club is pleased to advise that Denise Page has been elected as a Life Member of the Club.
Denise has been a tireless worker for the Club over many years. She has spent countless hours in the canteen, serving hungry players and supporters on match days as well as preparing and serving meals for players on Thursday evenings after training.
Denise has been heavily involved in organising fundraising functions and then running the door, the dinners, the event and the bar where needed to ensure things run smoothly. She was part of the committee which kicked off our Club 3150 supporter group and again prepared and served meals for our Club 3150 events.
Denise frequently has rolled up her sleeves and ensured our clubrooms are in pristine condition presenting our facilities in the best light for both visitors and Monash Council when they do their inspections.
On the playing side, Denise was part of our early Women’s program playing in the first year to help field a second team. She has also been a mainstay scorer for over 25 years scoring Juniors, Seniors, Women’s across both Summer and Winter Seasons – quite often doing multiple games per day.
Denise has continued to support and assist the club even when Daniel and/or Tony have been away from the Club.
