Junior Tryouts and Come & Try day

We encourage all returning junior players and prospective players to come along on September 5 and 12. More details below.

Planning for the Future

The club has also initiated a strategic planning process to map out our vision and objectives for the next 3 to 10 years. This process is substantially funded by a grant from the State Government of Victoria and we thank them for their assistance.
We kick off with a planning session to be held at Mulgrave Country Club (a sponsor of the club). This will be facilitated by Bob Stensholt – a highly-credentialed sports administrator and former member of state parliament. The mayor of the City of Monash has tentatively accepted our invitation to address the session.
We have already had to reschedule once due to lockdowns and are hoping that we will be able to proceed this time.

Vale Peter Flintoff

Peter Flintoff’s funeral took place a couple of weeks ago. You can read Adrian’s post, and view a recording of the ceremony by clicking here.
We have scheduled a memorial at Napier Park for Sunday, September 19. Please add this date to your diaries and we will supply more details closer to the date.
Once again, our sympathy and best wishes to Michelle and the rest of the Flintoff family.
Stay well, and Go Wildcats

Winter News

Sadly the latest lockdown means the winter season has once again been suspended. Hopefully play will resume prior to the scheduled end of the home and away season.
Our seconds are just outside the top four on percentage and the thirds are sitting comfortably in second place. Finals for these two teams are scheduled to commence on August 21.
Our juniors continue to have a very interrupted season dealing with COVID disruptions.
Keep an eye on our Facebook pages and the website for further updates.
The Senior and Junior Winter Presentation day will be held at Napier Park on September 5 commencing at 12:30 with a spit roast lunch followed by presentations. This will be our chance to farewell Luke Hughes and his family who are sadly (for us) returning to Western Australia.

Junior news

Summer: Junior Come and Try days, and Tryouts

We will run these at Napier Park on September 5 and 12 from 9:30 to 11:00am for both prospective and returning players. To assist with our planning for the day we encourage you to pre-register using this link.
If you have any friends/family or school contacts who may be interested in playing baseball at Waverley please pass this information on.
