The Firsts and Seconds won their games against Blackburn last Sunday.
In a very tight game the Seconds won 1-0, scoring the winning run in the penultimate inning.
The Firsts got away to a 5-1 lead in the fourth. Tight pitching from Blackburn reliever ??? held us until the 8th inning when we scored another run to seal the game.
Coach Adam Bright was very pleased with the result:
We came up against Blackburn with all their Aces players back. The team did all the right things, working together with team hitting to keep the scoreboard ticking over. ?? made a couple of critical plays at third, and it was great to have Rusty there to close the game for us in the last couple of innings.
